Buying a computer

A: I would prefer a laptop. It's easier to carry it to other places, although it's usually more expensive than a desktop... How much does it cost?
 

B: Well, it depends on the configuration you want. How much HD (Hard Drive) storage capacity do you want?
 

A: I don't know...
 

B: No problem. Let's see: which is the usage purpose of this computer? Will you use at work or only at home? Also, do you plan to save movies and music?
 

A: Hmmm. It's for personal use only, but I would like to have movies, musics, pictures, games...
 

B: Ok! So you will need a powerful machine! I recommend you to buy a 500GB HD, with 4GB memory, DVD+CD RW drive and 17" widescreen. And what's your favorite operational system: Windows, Linux, Machintosh...?
 

A: I'd rather have Windows than the others.
 

B: Perfect! Do you want to buy any other software to install in your machine?
 

A: Yes! I would like to buy a picture editor and a text editor.
 

B: For picture edition we have either Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator, which one do you prefer?
 

A: Adobe Photoshop, please. And for text edition, what are the options?
 

B: We have only Microsoft Word, and it's included in the MS Office Package. It's the best   option!

A: That's fine. But how much does each product cost?
 

B: The machine costs US$ 900, and it already has the Windows Vista installed, and each software costs US$ 200. The total is US$ 1,300.
 

A: Wow! How expensive...
 

B: I can give you a 10% discount if you choose to pay in cash...
