Whenever you travel to a foreign country you must know about its currency.
Today we will be ariving in San Francisco, USA.
At the airport we can exchange some travellers´check for cash in dollars bills.

A-Excuse me sir, I would lilke to exchange a US$100.00 traveller check into cash.

B-May I have your passaport and flight ticket, sir?

A-Here you are. I need a lot of change.

B-You may choose: I can change your traveller check in many ways.

A-Really? Good! Let´s see what you can do for me.

B-You may have some bills like: US$50.00, US$20.00, US$10.00, US$5.00 and US$1.00.

A-How nice, so I want different bills up to US$100,00.

B-Would you like some coins, too?

A-Excuse me, sir, I don´t know anything about the American coins.

B- That´s very easy. In the USA we have the folowing coins: US$1.00, 50 cents=half dollar,25cents=a quarter, 10 cents=a dime, 5 cents=a nickel and 1 cent coin = a penny.

A-Please give me US$10.00 in coins, I know we can use them in many machines.

B-Ah! I forgot to tell you that you may hear a slang for dollars. People may say: bucks, so be prepared to hear  the expression: it´s five bucks or so.

A-Thank you for your orientation.

B-You are welcome and please here is your receipt for this transaction.

A-Thank you once more, good bye.

B- Enjoy your stay!
