The possessive case is formed by adding an ‘S to the singular noun. It determinates possession. The thing belongs to the person or to the thing which we add an ‘S. Ex.: Mary’s doll=the doll of Mary / John’s coat=the coat of John. Exercise: Use the possessive case where is necessary: 1- The dress of Grace is in the wardrobe. 2- The desk of the teacher is near the door. 3- The dog of my uncle is big. 4- The car of my father is fast. 5- The hat of Fred is on the chair. |
